Electrical Engineering Tools Kit 2 – 2026–2027
Product Description
The Electrical Engineering Tools Kit 2 is a starter set for the 2026–2027 academic year, built around the measuring and prototyping tools a student uses most often in basic electrical and electronics labs. It pairs a UNI-T UT33D+ digital multimeter with a breadboard, wiring, common resistors, LEDs, a few logic ICs, and a storage box, so the first circuits can be built and measured with a single purchase.
The multimeter is the centerpiece. The UNI-T UT33D+ is a palm-size meter that measures DC and AC voltage, DC current, and resistance, and it also offers diode testing, a continuity buzzer, and non-contact voltage detection. It is rated CAT II 600V and designed to survive a drop from two meters, which suits a tool that will spend a lot of time in a backpack and on a crowded lab bench. Auto power-off and auto backlight-off help preserve its batteries between sessions.
Circuits are built on the 840-point breadboard, which has split power rails. Ten 20 cm male-to-male jumper wires handle most connections, and four 45 cm crocodile alligator wires in different colors make quick temporary connections to component leads or terminals, or hold a part in place while you measure it. Four resistor values, 220, 330, 470, and 1K Ohm, with five pieces of each, cover typical LED current limiting and simple voltage divider exercises. A 5K Ohm potentiometer gives a variable resistance for adjusting a signal or a voltage on the fly, and four 5mm LEDs show the result of a circuit at a glance.
For digital work, the kit includes a 7404 hex inverter, a 7408 quad AND gate, and a 7432 quad OR gate, enough to build and check the basic gate functions on the breadboard. Two push buttons act as manual inputs. A 7805 positive 5V voltage regulator is also included for experiments that need a steady 5V supply derived from a higher DC source.
A 10-grid storage box measuring 130x70x22 mm holds the small parts, which tend to get lost or mixed up when loose. Keeping resistors, LEDs, and ICs sorted in labeled compartments saves time at the start of every session and protects the pins from bending.
The kit suits first- and second-year students, self-learners moving from theory to hands-on practice, and anyone who needs a compact, organized toolset for measuring and prototyping. Because the measuring tool, the prototyping parts, and the storage are chosen together, there is less risk of ending up with parts that do not work well together.
