Electrical Engineering Tools Kit 1 – 2026–2027
Product Description
Electrical Engineering Tools Kit 1 is a bench-ready set for the 2026–2027 academic year, put together for the first hands-on stage of electrical and electronics study: measuring, wiring, lighting an LED, and checking a simple logic circuit. A DT-830D digital multimeter with buzzer is the measuring tool at its center, backed by a breadboard, wires, resistors, and the small parts that go with it.
The DT-830D is a pocket-size meter with a 3½-digit LCD that shows up to 1999 counts. It reads DC voltage from 200mV up to 1000V, AC voltage from 200V up to 750V, DC current up to 10A, and resistance. Beyond the basics, it includes a diode test, a transistor hFE test, and a continuity function with a buzzer that sounds when the resistance between the probes is low. That buzzer is especially handy for tracing wires and checking connections without looking away from the circuit. Overload protection and a low-battery indicator add a margin of safety for new users, and a square wave output gives students a simple test signal to play with.
The rest of the kit supports the wiring side of the lab. The 840-point breadboard with split power rails takes most of the build, with ten 20 cm male-to-male jumper wires to connect it. Four 45 cm crocodile alligator wires in assorted colors help when you need to clip onto a component lead or a terminal temporarily. Resistors in 220, 330, 470, and 1K Ohm values, five of each, make it easy to compare how different resistance changes the brightness of the four 5mm LEDs, a classic first exercise in Ohm’s law. A 5K Ohm potentiometer adds a variable resistance to experiment with, and two push buttons give a way to switch a circuit on and off by hand.
For simple digital work, the kit includes a 7404 hex inverter, a 7408 quad AND gate, and a 7432 quad OR gate. These are enough to build a basic gate circuit and watch it respond to a button press. A 7805 positive 5V regulator is also included for anyone who wants to practice producing a steady 5V from a higher DC source.
Small parts are easy to lose, so the kit comes with a 10-grid storage box, 130x70x22 mm, to keep resistors, LEDs, and ICs sorted and protected between sessions. Students, self-learners, and anyone setting up a basic electronics bench will find that having the meter, prototyping parts, and storage together saves both time and the trouble of matching separate purchases.
