Description

The UNI-T UTG1042X Waveform Generator is a dual-channel function and arbitrary waveform generator designed for electronics development, circuit testing, signal analysis, and laboratory applications. It uses Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology to generate stable and accurately controlled electrical waveforms, making it suitable for testing analog and digital circuits across a wide range of applications.

The UTG1042X provides two independent output channels with a maximum sine-wave frequency of 40MHz. It features a 200MSa/s sampling rate and 16-bit vertical resolution, allowing the generator to produce controlled signals with good amplitude and waveform resolution. The arbitrary waveform memory supports up to 4kpts, while the instrument includes 200 built-in arbitrary waveforms for convenient signal generation.

The generator supports several standard waveform types, including sine, square, ramp, pulse, noise, and DC, in addition to arbitrary waveform generation. It also provides analog and digital modulation functions such as AM, FM, PM, ASK, FSK, PSK, and PWM, allowing users to reproduce more complex signal conditions during circuit development and testing.

The UTG1042X supports linear and logarithmic frequency sweep, as well as burst and pulse-train functions. Pulse trains can be configured using N-cycle, infinite, or gated modes, providing additional flexibility for timing and digital-control experiments. The instrument also includes a hardware frequency counter capable of measuring frequencies from 100mHz to 200MHz.

A 4.3-inch TFT LCD with 480 × 272 resolution provides the user interface for configuring waveform parameters and monitoring output settings. Standard interfaces include USB Host and USB Device, while the instrument uses 50Ω output impedance for its signal outputs.

The UNI-T UTG1042X is suitable for testing amplifiers, filters, oscillators, power supplies, communication circuits, microcontroller systems, and other electronic designs where controlled test signals are required. Its dual-channel architecture also makes it useful for applications requiring two synchronized or independently configured signals.
