UNI-T UT81B 2-in-1 Handheld Digital Oscilloscope Multimeter

The UNI-T UT81B 2-in-1 Handheld Digital Oscilloscope Multimeter combines the functions of a digital multimeter and a compact digital oscilloscope in one portable instrument. It is designed for technicians, electronics engineers, service professionals, and students who need both conventional electrical measurements and basic waveform analysis without carrying two separate instruments.

In digital multimeter mode, the UT81B measures DC and AC voltage, DC and AC current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, duty cycle, diode forward voltage, and continuity. It provides a 1000V DC voltage range, 750V AC voltage range, and current measurement up to 10A. Resistance can be measured up to 40MΩ, while capacitance measurement extends to 100μF. Frequency measurement covers 10Hz to 10MHz, making the meter suitable for a broad range of electrical and electronic troubleshooting tasks. 

The integrated oscilloscope section provides an 8MHz bandwidth and a 40MS/s sampling rate, allowing users to observe and analyze low- to medium-frequency electronic signals. The vertical sensitivity ranges from 20mV/div to 500V/div, while the time base can be adjusted from 100ns/div to 5s/div. These settings allow the instrument to display signal amplitude and timing characteristics for applications such as power supplies, control circuits, sensors, audio-frequency electronics, and embedded hardware. 

The UT81B supports Auto Run, Normal, and Single Shot trigger modes, giving users control over how waveforms are captured and displayed. It can store up to 10 screens and instrument setups, allowing measurements or waveform information to be reviewed later. The USB interface enables communication with a computer, while the supplied software provides an additional way to work with stored measurement data. 

A 160 × 160 monochrome LCD with backlight provides the measurement and waveform display in a compact handheld format. The instrument also features automatic ranging, automatic power-off, low-battery indication, continuity buzzer, and adjustable display contrast and brightness. Its approximately 498g weight and 200 × 100 × 48mm dimensions make it practical for field service and bench troubleshooting where portability is important. 

The UT81B is powered by four 1.5V R6 batteries and is supplied with test leads, an alligator clip, USB interface cable, and PC software CD. An oscilloscope probe and AC power adapter are listed by UNI-T as optional accessories. 
