Product Description

The UNI-T UT309E Infrared Thermometer is a professional non-contact temperature measurement instrument designed for fast surface temperature inspection in electrical, HVAC, industrial maintenance, transportation, and equipment servicing applications. Using infrared radiation emitted by the target surface, the UT309E can measure temperature without requiring physical contact, making it particularly useful for hot, moving, energized, or difficult-to-reach components.

The instrument provides a wide temperature measurement range of -35°C to 850°C (-31°F to 1562°F), allowing it to cover both low-temperature inspection and high-temperature industrial applications. Its 20:1 distance-to-spot ratio (D) allows the user to measure smaller targets from a greater distance compared with infrared thermometers with lower optical ratios. The measurement response time is approximately 250 ms, supporting rapid inspection during maintenance work.

The UT309E features adjustable emissivity from 0.10 to 1.00, which allows the measurement settings to be adapted to different surface materials. Emissivity is an important parameter in infrared temperature measurement because different surfaces emit infrared energy differently. Correct emissivity selection can therefore improve measurement reliability when inspecting metals, painted surfaces, machinery, electrical components, and other materials.

For target identification, the UT309E uses a dual-laser pointer system to help define the measurement area. It also provides MAX, MIN, AVG, and DIF scanning modes, allowing technicians to review maximum, minimum, average, and temperature-difference values during inspection. High- and low-temperature alarms are indicated using LED alerts, helping identify measurements outside predefined limits.

The thermometer uses an EBTN display with backlight for clear readings in different lighting conditions. It supports data hold, measurement lock, automatic power-off, low-battery indication, and storage of up to 99 temperature records with date and time. Its IP65 protection rating and resistance to a 3-meter drop make it suitable for demanding field and industrial environments.
