Product Description

The UNI-T UT303A+ Infrared Thermometer is a professional non-contact temperature measurement instrument designed for fast and accurate surface temperature inspection in electrical maintenance, industrial equipment servicing, HVAC systems, automotive applications, and general troubleshooting. By detecting infrared energy emitted from a target surface, the UT303A+ allows technicians to measure temperature without physical contact, making it useful for hot, moving, energized, or difficult-to-reach components.

The UT303A+ provides a wide infrared temperature measurement range of -32°C to 800°C (-25.6°F to 1472°F), covering a broad range of routine maintenance and industrial inspection requirements. Its 30:1 distance-to-spot ratio (D) allows users to measure smaller target areas from a greater distance compared with infrared thermometers with lower optical ratios. The instrument also provides a fast response time of approximately 250ms, allowing quick temperature checks during field inspections.

The thermometer features adjustable emissivity from 0.1 to 1.0, allowing the user to adapt the measurement setting to different surface materials. Correct emissivity selection is particularly relevant when measuring surfaces with different infrared emission characteristics, helping the instrument provide more appropriate temperature readings across a wider range of applications.

For target indication, the UT303A+ uses a Class 2 laser pointer with a wavelength of 630–670nm and laser power below 1mW. The instrument operates over an 8–14μm spectral response range and provides MAX, MIN, AVG, and DIFF measurement modes. These functions allow technicians to monitor extreme values, calculate an average temperature, or determine temperature differences during inspection.

The UT303A+ also includes user-configurable visual and audible high/low temperature alarms, data hold, lock measurement, automatic power-off, low-battery indication, °C/°F selection, and an LCD backlight. The lock measurement function is useful when continuous temperature monitoring is required without repeatedly pressing the trigger. A tripod mounting hole is also provided for fixed-position measurements.

The thermometer features a high-contrast color EBTN display measuring approximately 35 × 35mm. It is powered by a 9V battery and has a compact handheld design measuring approximately 172 × 113.5 × 53mm, with a net weight of about 310g. The instrument is specified for operation from 0°C to 50°C and storage from -20°C to 60°C.
