Multifunction Time Relay RS-TM12

The Multifunction Time Relay RS-TM12 is a programmable DIN-rail timer designed for controlling electrical loads according to adjustable time sequences. It combines multiple timing functions in a compact modular housing, making it suitable for automation panels, control circuits, lighting systems, motors, contactors, and other applications where controlled switching and delay timing are required.

The RS-TM12 provides 10 operating modes, allowing the same relay to perform different timing functions without requiring separate timer modules. Its selectable timing ranges cover applications from short delays of fractions of a second to extended periods of up to 10 days. The timing scale can be selected from ranges such as seconds, minutes, hours, and days, with dedicated ON and OFF settings also available.

One of the key characteristics of the RS-TM12 is its flexible power arrangement. The unit can be supplied with 220V AC through terminals A1-A2, while terminals A3-A2 provide an AC/DC 24V supply option. This makes the relay adaptable to control panels using either mains-level or low-voltage control power. The relay operates at 50/60Hz.

The relay provides one changeover contact (1 C/O) with a rated current of 8A at AC-1, allowing it to control compatible loads directly or operate a contactor for higher-power equipment. The unit also includes separate LED indicators for supply and output status, providing a quick visual indication during installation and troubleshooting.

The RS-TM12 uses a compact modular housing approximately 18mm wide and is designed for TH-35 DIN-rail mounting, making it convenient for installation inside electrical distribution and automation cabinets. Its modular format helps conserve panel space while providing multiple timing functions in a single device.

With a specified setting accuracy of less than 5% and repetition accuracy of less than 0.2%, the RS-TM12 can be used for general-purpose industrial and electrical control applications where repeatable timing is required. The device has an IP20 protection rating and is intended for installation inside suitable electrical enclosures.
