Description

The KBJ2510 Bridge Rectifier 1000V 25A is a high-power single-phase bridge rectifier designed to convert AC voltage into DC voltage in power supply and power conversion circuits. It integrates four rectifier diodes into a single compact package, simplifying PCB and chassis mounting while reducing the number of individual components required in a full-wave rectification stage.

With a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1000V and a rated forward current of 25A, the KBJ2510 is intended for high-voltage rectification applications where a relatively high current capability is required. It can be used at the input stage of AC-DC power supplies, battery chargers, motor controllers, industrial power equipment, and other circuits requiring full-wave AC rectification.

The bridge configuration allows both halves of an AC waveform to be used, producing a pulsating DC output that can then be filtered using capacitors and other power-supply components. This makes the KBJ2510 a common building block in conventional transformer-based and switching power supply designs.

The device is housed in a KBJ-style rectangular bridge rectifier package, providing four terminals for the AC inputs and DC positive and negative outputs. Its integrated construction simplifies wiring and assembly compared with building a bridge from four separate power diodes.

The 1000V voltage rating provides a substantial reverse-voltage margin for suitable high-voltage AC applications. However, the actual usable voltage and current depend on the complete circuit design, operating temperature, cooling arrangement, switching conditions, and manufacturer's derating requirements. The 25A rating should not be interpreted as 25A under every operating condition; adequate thermal management is essential when operating at high current.
